OUR STORY

Education:  We met in graduate school while completing a Master’s degree program in Public Affairs journalism at the University of Illinois.

Lindsay's strong community interests include welcoming refugees to Minnesota from war-torn countries, such as Bosnia; serving as an advocate for hospice care and supporting efforts to provide a healthy start in life for all children. Lindsay is an active member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral in Minneapolis and sits on the board of the Shaltering Arms Foundation.  Lindsay was appointed by Gov. Tim Pawlenty to the 2004 Minnesota Academic Standards Committee. She is a former television reporter covering state government for a major Twin Cities station.

Mike is also a former broadcast journalist, having cut his teeth in public radio and later as an on-air reporter, line and documentary producer for commercial television.  Mike brings nearly 30 years of experience in marketing and communications (including commercial property development) to his Twin Cities real estate practice.  His recognized integrity and intelligence as a former journalist and labor negotiator afford him the skills needed to reach concensus on sales and purchases.  He's earned the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation, as well as the National Association of Realtors 'ePro' certification for Internet marketing expertise.  He is a former scout master in the Northstar Council of the Boy Scouts of America (Mustang District).  The Strands reside in Minnetonka, MN with their two children and Rachel, a ball-crazed golden retriever.

Both Lindsay and Mike take great pride in passionately representing clients as buyers or sellers of single family homes, condos or townhouses.
